I am NOT oppressed..

I just watched a video on Aqsa Parvez,
who was killed by her father for not wearing the Hijab..

In response to the person who posted that video
calling out to muslims to take off their hijab
in show of freedom,

One wonders what FREEDOM means..

Freedom does not have anything to do
with what you wear or who you are...

Most of us always connotes freedom
as 'being able to do or say whatever we want..'

but is it so?

There is no such thing as absolute freedom..

Imagine if the notion of freedom is taken
literally as stated above,
what would happen to the world...?

People kill as they wish,
People say as they like,
all these without thinking of the consequences of their actions..
God knows what will happen...

Even with the existing laws on freedom,
these issues still occured...

So, saying that Hijab is a symbol of oppression
is crap!

So what?
I cover my head
and im stupid?

I cover my head
and im oppressed?

I know many muslim women
some of whom are my very own friends..
they wear hijab BUT they are talented thinking people..

We do not wear hijab because we are afraid of our family...
We do not wear hijab because we are afraid of being an outcast...


In fact,
In my humble opinion,
Some, i repeat SOME who DO NOT wear hijab
are the ones who are afraid...

afraid of being labelled off beat..
afraid of being outcast by others who do not
understand the true meaning of freedom..


The girl died,
the father killed her...
but its an individual fault..

maybe he wanted to discipline her,
but he was at fault for killing,
thus its his individual problem...

blame it on the action,
NOT the hijab...


This is just my two cents worth...

* A: kenapa kita pakai hijab?
B: Kenapa kita simpan/sembunyi intan berlian di tempat yang selamat?
A: Sebab barang itu berharga dan tak ternilai..
B: Begitu juga halnya dengan wanita yang memakai hijab, tak ternilai harganya...


وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمۡشُونَ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ هَوۡنً۬ا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلۡجَـٰهِلُونَ قَالُواْ سَلَـٰمً۬ا
